Saturday 9am-5pm
*Vaccinations- Rabies paperwork required. Bordetella & DHPP required if you opt for drop off daycare or day boarding services.
We also will groom CATS that are accustomed to being groomed with good behavior. We will price cats upon appointment arrival. Cats must have core vaccinations.
*My dog's hair is knotted (Matted). How can this be handled? If the hair is allowed to knot or develop "matts", this is unhealthy for the dog's skin. Knotting gets worse if the coat gets wet. Before washing the dog, it is necessary to dematt the dog. If the hair is matted, it may be possible to "dematt" the coat. Unfortunately, this can be painful. In some cases, dematting may cause or reveal skin irritation. Dematting can take an extra 1-3 hours outside of the actual grooming. If the hair can be dematted without causing pain to the dog, it may be possible to save the coat. If the hair can be demmated, there will be an additional charge of $20 per 15 minutes. Otherwise, we may recommend shaving the dog, which means applying the clipper behind the matts (not the "prettiest option" but will make your dog comfortable & save you the fees). If the hair is matted, we recommend meeting with one of our groomers beforehand so we can discuss your options & make a special appointment to allow enough time for the dematting process. If you arrive at your appointment without us knowing about the dematting, it will result in rescheduling due to the length of time to dematt. We may not be able to give you a total dollar amount of the groom until the dematting is complete.
How can I prevent matting?
We highly recommend you brush your dogs hair out daily or every other day with a comb. If this is too time consuming, we recommend keeping a very short haircut which needs cut down every 4-6 weeks or so. If you do leave the hair longer, never allow your dog to get wet without brushing first. Failure to brush your dog will result in matts which are painful to a dog & cause severe skin irritation. Failure to brush a dog out & allowing them to continue to have matted hair is a form of animal abuse due to the pain & discomfort.
